In Thinking: Nights with My Korean Uni Class | Koreabridge.net

In Thinking: Nights with My Korean Uni Class | Koreabridge.net

a comprehensive post about teaching writing in Korea from a fresh eye. It sounds to me like she didn't have her students peer edit enough but their workload is unreasonable. also to point out something good is that I like how she had her students write up the number of the assignment and all that information.

I might borrow that idea.

Is China Following Russia’s Foreign Policy? | ROK Drop

Is China Following Russia’s Foreign Policy? | ROK Drop The media tends to think of better and worse relations — I don’t think of that. Russia has its interests; the United States has its interests. There are times when these interests coincide; there are times when these interests diverge. There are times when one country or the other is too preoccupied with other things to be worried about the other. At the moment, the truth of the matter is that the United States remains deeply concerned with Iraq and Afghanistan and the uprising in the Arab world. The United States doesn’t have that much time to worry about Russia and so you can say that relations have become better. But you can equally say that when they come worse, it’s not so much that a decision was made to make them worse, it’s just natural tensions arising.

English Raven: Never ask students to do something you aren't willing to do yourself...

English Raven: Never ask students to do something you aren't willing to do yourself... Jason R. rocks. i'm going to ask my writing students to record themselves and post it to their blogs. Having my writing students make blogs has been a pretty interesting task for them. I think they are getting a lot out of it. next week I'll have my reading students start following blogs with a reader.

A funny side effect is me being motivated to at least work on my blog a little.
