Yeah they should be. You have to take a look at what other people have done and try to see the reasons they made the decisions and choices that they made..

Dude i'm Canadian and I think the rights of man should be protected as much as the next guy but I have no sympathy for Osama bin laden and anyone who supports him. I think all of Pakistan should be targeted until they make up for harbouring that organisation.

nice to see it ain't just foreigners raping koreans in Itaewon. There are criminals on both sides. Here in the media there really is an impression that foreigners like American GIs and other whites are rapists and murders. but they never mention Koreans raping expats or korean on korean crime. well hardly ever.

(560) International marriages

(560) International marriages I really hate the word foreign. Ther is a foreign flea market I heard about on the radio and FC Seoul are having a Foreigner's night. I think International night is a much better idea. And give free hotdogs to anyone that asks for them in a language other than Korean.

In Thinking: Nights with My Korean Uni Class | Koreabridge.net

a comprehensive post about teaching writing in Korea from a fresh eye. It sounds to me like she didn't have her students peer edit enough but their workload is unreasonable. also to point out something good is that I like how she had her students write up the number of the assignment and all that information.

I might borrow that idea.

Is China Following Russia’s Foreign Policy? | ROK Drop

Is China Following Russia’s Foreign Policy? | ROK Drop The media tends to think of better and worse relations — I don’t think of that. Russia has its interests; the United States has its interests. There are times when these interests coincide; there are times when these interests diverge. There are times when one country or the other is too preoccupied with other things to be worried about the other. At the moment, the truth of the matter is that the United States remains deeply concerned with Iraq and Afghanistan and the uprising in the Arab world. The United States doesn’t have that much time to worry about Russia and so you can say that relations have become better. But you can equally say that when they come worse, it’s not so much that a decision was made to make them worse, it’s just natural tensions arising.

English Raven: Never ask students to do something you aren't willing to do yourself...

English Raven: Never ask students to do something you aren't willing to do yourself... Jason R. rocks. i'm going to ask my writing students to record themselves and post it to their blogs. Having my writing students make blogs has been a pretty interesting task for them. I think they are getting a lot out of it. next week I'll have my reading students start following blogs with a reader.

A funny side effect is me being motivated to at least work on my blog a little.

BBC Sport - Champions League: Man Utd's Park Ji-sung - a profile

BBC Sport - Champions League: Man Utd's Park Ji-sung - a profile Park Ji Sung is awesome. Even though I am not a Man U supporter I think he is a great inspiration for Korean players and I have come to admire him more and more. at first I really didn't think he was that special since he wasn't doing that well in the Premier League but as time went on I grew to appreciate his contribution and I always cheered for him when he played for the National side.

Religious Tolerance Islam Style – James Hudnall

Religious Tolerance Islam Style – James Hudnall "Fight the power said B!!" I follow Hud's blog and first contacted him a few years ago when my buddy Eddy Yu had me working on a project. We teamed up Korean comicbook artists with American writers and he put out some material international. Hud has a lot for advice for writers and interesting insights on politics.

Want Kids to Win the Future? Turn Them Into Makers — and Sci-Fi Fans | Underwire | Wired.com When I hired engineers and people on the creative side, I never looked at their grades,” he said, referring to the teams he built at Atari and beyond. “I interviewed them strictly on their hobbies, and if they did not have a hobby in technology I wouldn’t hire them…. Kids, when they make, are actually preparing themselves better for the jobs they’ll have in the future than [they are by] getting straight A’s.”

The 5 Switches of Manliness: Physicality | The Art of Manliness

The 5 Switches of Manliness: Physicality | The Art of Manliness I really like this blog too. I just started reading this guy though. He is posting here about humans being made for running and that we have to stay active. Lots of tips and advice about burning off some calories.

By Ken Levine: Another comedy test: Do you find this funny? alright I added on an extension to my chrome browser so I can just click and add a link to a blog post and comment on something I'm reading. So here is my first one. I have been following Ken for a while and he has done a few of these comedy tests. Basically he is interested in seeing if others find the same thing funny as him and getting a handle on that type of thing. He wrote MASH with his partner and the movie volunteers plus some cheers episodes etc.

I like reading about writing scripts and I think some of the information might be good fro me to integrate into my classes.

tie-in

I have been using google reader for some time now after bloglines informed me of their eminent doom.  since switching over I have been sharing items and liking items but haven't been blogging exactly so with this little set up here I should be able to start adding content or at least trying to bundle a few topics I'm interested in passing along.
